台北市立動物園自3月7日至25日，先後死了4隻鸚鵡，其中包含1對紫藍金剛鸚鵡、1隻黃腹
藍琉璃金剛鸚鵡及1隻棕櫚鳳頭鸚。園方稱死因是「天氣變化大」導致，但紫藍金剛鸚鵡與
棕櫚鳳頭鸚鵡都屬大型且健壯的鸚鵡，連續死亡相當不尋常，還有人傳是感染禽流感，但
園方否認。
《聯合報》報導，動物園發言人趙明杰說，3月天氣溫度差異過大，鸚鵡才會生病，已經進
行欄舍改善，增加通風度，園內突然這麼多鳥死亡，能理解大家會較緊張，但絕非禽流感
。動物園將依規定，於15天內製作保育動物死亡報告給北市動保處，再轉呈至農委會。
