撿到班龜應該送養 還是養在池塘 - 龜

去年七月半夜散步時，突然踢到一顆小石頭，一瞟看到石頭快速移動中，
撿起來後發現是隻剛出生的班龜

因為附近車水馬龍，早上是傳統市場，我也不知道他怎麼會出現在這，想想還是帶回家了。
父母家有一個池塘，想說養大一點放那或送養。現在一年過去，也已經長得很大
（15公分左右），便跟爸媽提及想放養在池塘，但他們怕烏龜會吃裡面的錦鯉，我是怕池塘很深，烏龜太小隻，而且在開放空間可能會跑不見。
想詢問大家覺得應該送養還是放池塘呢？
因為我自己住外面，對爬蟲沒有特別喜歡，
而且家裡貓咪很愛虐殺小動物，一直把龜龜藏在廚房角落，偶爾曬燈曬太陽，實在不適合繼續養在我家。
最近覺得他又變大，應該要換缸了，所以陷入思考，想詢問大家的想法。
